We are an independent Baptist Church with a congregation made up of believers from a variety of backgrounds.  Our intent is to make God's ways known concerning salvation, family, community  and virtually every aspect of life through expository preaching, relevant Bible studies, and practical ministry programs. What We Believe

Our basic core beliefs are the common beliefs that make us Christian which are the inspiration of Scriptures, the triune nature of God as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, the need of mankind to be redeemed by the sacrifice of Jesus for forgiveness of sin. and that one day Christ will return to this earth to fulfill the salvation of man by reclaiming and establishing Gods kingdom. Our History

The First Baptist Church of Wheatfield was started in the early 1940's by Reverend Frank Mores. He began to build the physical church by gathering field stones from the surrounding farms and over the course of three years mortared them together into what is now the auditorium.  He began to meet informally with families from the community until 1953, when the church was formally incorporated. In the 1960's, the Sunday school building was added. The congregation has had a number of pastors until the current pastor, Robin (Don) Gear who has served since 1987.
